This weekend, my niece got married. It was such a beautiful weekend (although it did rain for the wedding). My nephew emailed me this link last night. Saturday night we had a rehearsal dinner that was so much fun. Brad's (the husband to be) best man played his guitar all night at the dinner. Ian is a professional musician and he played great songs all night. This was the grand finale. Ian, the groom (who also plays drums in a band), another groomsman, the bridal party, and the bride joins in at the end to participate in a spot-on cover of The Weight, dedicated to Jaime-Anne. I'll be posting at least one photo of the bride in her dress. She selected Pnina Tornai (a designer from Israel). We had made a trip to Kleinfeld's in New York and the rest was history. She's a classic beauty and is just as sweet as she is beautiful.
The wedding itself was wonderful. It was held in a castle that was breathtaking. The speeches were heartfelt and the families and friends had a very special evening. Ian, Brad, and Andrew managed to squeeze in a set during the wedding. The music selection was so great . . . even the way home. The bus driver plugged in his Ipod, played his "party tunes" and people were singing, dancing at their seats or in the aisle all the way back to the hotel. What fun!
Jaime and Brad have now probably arrived in Istanbul and will continue their honeymoon in Crete and Amsterdam. How great does that sound?
