Out of the Studio Wednesday - Stones & Bones

I've been working on some new pieces of jewelry. They're very different from what I usually do. They've got a lot less color. My original inspiration was this piece by Georgia O'Keefe called "Deer's Skull with Pedernal". I've always wanted to do something with the bone form and somehow it morphed into a wishbone. And a beach stone. Stones and bones. Big bones, medium bones and I'm working on some smaller bone shapes. And seeing as I'm making the bones, they don't really have to be off-white, right?

The necklace with the circle at the bottom was made after I had been playing with a few different shapes. I moved the pieces around until I came to this shape. An abstract person. I hope to have these listed in my Etsy shop by the end of the week!

It is very interesting for me to read this post. Thank you for it. I like such topics and everything connected to them. I would like to read more on that blog soon.
