Primarily Gentry

Today I came across Tamra Gentry's work.  Her love of color and pattern led her to an unusual yet beautiful material called Fordlite.  At first I assumed it was a gemstone I had never heard of.  But upon closer look, I was pleasantly surprised to learn of its' history.  Can you guess what it is?  It is vintage car enamel!   You can read about it here.  I also enjoyed reading about Tamra's journey. Especially the "turning point section".  So many of us artist's have similar paths. I got a kick out of her description of beading as her "entry drug". So true!  Here are just a few photos of some of her exquisite work.
