Although spring has essentially sprung, and pantone's spring color forecast for 2010 has been out for a while, I thought it was still worth a mention and an image.
After all, if you're working with polymer clay and you're making jewelry, why not use some of the tools that are available to us? (I'm just pointing out one of the hundreds of tools that are available to us.) So I chose 3 colors from the spring 2010 forecast: turquoise, aurora, and eucalyptus. I wanted to add some contrast, so I added black to this palette. I then created this palette on colourlovers and this is what it looked like:
I printed it out, and took it to my studio. So I guess the next step would be to create something in polymer clay using these colors. To be continued . . .

Good idea I was thinking of doing the same but haven't got so far as to choosing a palette yet. I like the colours you chose and look forward to seeing what you make.
I was thinking of starting with a mokume and going from there. I find myself using mokumes as a quick measure to see if they'll work together or not!
I joined MyPantone a little while ago and still playing around with the software. I find it a little more challenging than just digging into my clay. I have several palettes of my own that I've been creating in Mokume and other techniques. Is a fun way to mix colors.
I agree. For me, rather than just play and mix colors, this seems to be a much more logical way to start the day as well. And by using a few simple techniques to make a bead, you get a really good idea if it works for you or not.
