Yes, I'm an Idol Fan
I've been watching American Idol pretty much since the very beginning. It's something I do with my husband and Lily every Tuesday night. If we can't be home for some reason, we Tivo it. This season, my two favorites are Crystal Bowersox and Siobahn Magnus. I always look forward to seeing their performances just like I did last year with Adam Lambert and David Cook the year before. Last night, all three of us were pretty shocked when we heard Paige Miles sing. She sang the Phil Collins song "Against All Odds". Usually, when the judges tell a contestant that they were pitchy, I don't always recognize that. Last night, clearly, Paige had a pitch problem. What went wrong???? Tonight, I will be shocked if she's not sent home. BUT, my heart goes out to her. How will she manage to sing that song again for her farewell song? Please Idol - don't put her through it!!!!

I have watched Idol from the beginning too. I think this year, as a whole, is pretty bad. Seems like from all the people who audition, there would be lots of REALLY great singers. IMHO, the only contestant who has "it" this year is Crystal Bowersox. The rest could sing at weddings or on cruise ships. As far as Paige is concerned, I don't know what happened either. Pitchy isn't the word for her performance. It was horrible. Very strange. I think American Idol is losing it's edge with the changes in judges and Simon just not really caring anymore. Meanwhile, I'll keep watching just because I always do.
Simon does seem to have "checked out" already.
