And now, for my new toy. For those of you, like myself, that have both Netflix (no affiliation - just a happy customer) and Wii, did you know that you can now get a Netflix instant streaming disc for Wii? I didn't until a friend mentioned it. What does this do? It allows you to watch the special "watch instantly" netflix movies and tv programs through your t.v.! The disc is free through Netflix. There is one catch though. You have to connect the Wii console to the internet. My disc arrived only days after ordering it through the Netflix site. I had no idea what to expect in terms of set-up. Fortunately for me, we have a wireless internet connection. It was so simple. It only took a matter of a few steps on the tv to connect the tv to the internet connection. I would imagine it would be a little trickier without the wireless. But well worth it. Now, anyone in the family can load the Netflix software into the Wii, and just choose through the numerous "watch instantly" movies and tv series. As you can see, there are 75 movies in the "thrillers" genre being offered currently . . .
and 75 tv series available for viewing.
Just another way to add more variety to the tv viewing! Sure beats watching it on the little computer monitor!
And lastly, our house has been going through a few minor changes. My daughter Lily has wanted to change her bedroom walls for a while. Unfortunately, the color she wanted did not go well with her carpet. That carpet was apparently not one of the better decisions we made when making that room. It's a minty green flecked carpet. What I called a "neutral". And it wasn't even the 80's! We built our house so I'm not taking responsibility - there were too many decisions to make in too little time! Besides, I was pregnant and a little meshugana. Anyway, we have been putting this off forever talking about the different options we had with her room. Until one day she said "why not make the computer room (the room with a beige carpet) my new bedroom?" So . . . my computer room (the room with nice white walls) is in the process of being painted blue. The color scheme will be brown and blue. Win . . . win, right? So I thought.
But then I realized the room I'll be acquiring is the room with the remains of the sticky Nickelodeon goop attached to the ceiling. Not too bad though, as it's hardened beautifully over the years!
. . . to be continued.
