Out of the Studio Wednesday

Last week I posted a photo of a pair of earrings I was going to electroform.  I got a little carried away with the design as I began following the crackles.  Here's what evolved!

A photography tip I like to use is to stick some prop wax to the base of the earring wires while forcing the earrings to stand up . . . breathe, and let go (that's usually when they fall over a couple times).  Eventually I do catch a quick photo.  I love the look, but if you saw what my photo paper looks like after all the prop wax I've been using - ugh!  One of these days, I will make a photoshop 8 x 10 or 10 x 14 sheet of a black to white gradient and send it to my local office supply store.  They can print it out on photo paper - and instantly I'll have a nice new background paper.

Lately I've been working diligently on a rather time consuming project.  One that has me photographing like crazy. It's way overdue. So stay tuned.

One last bit of shameless self promotion.  It's Wednesday, and I've got 10 new sale items at 20% off in my shop. You can find them here.
